Conceptual Design
The first critical stage in most projects is to clearly define the Client's needs, which then forms the basic input for the conceptual design. Conceptual designs are developed into outline proposals, from which the most appropriate solution can be selected. Concepts range from single systems to integrated turnkey solutions and employ the most appropriate technology, both technically and commercially
Concepts and proposals are submitted for agreement with the Client, after which we offer a complete engineering and technical development programme to identify, graphically and in detail, the component parts of each system required to implement the solution, and meet the performance, reliability and quality of service objectives.
During the conceptual and detailed design stages, it is often necessary to
complete a detailed and accurate cost estimate analysis for the project, identifying capital and operating costs.
Such estimates will often encompass installation, commissioning and on-going maintenance elements as well as external charges if they are appropriate.
Before invitations to tender are issued, design specifications need to be fully detailed, accurate, comprehensive and to embody third party interfaces where appropriate. Our expertise in this area is drawn from many sources, most frequently from working with major international clients around the world. We have the skills and resources available to produce specifications which meet this need at all levels.
